Every day Ukrainian territory is subjected to missile and artillery strikes by the Russian army. Vladimir Putin has realised that his troops are no longer able to conduct offensive operations, so he has resorted to terror and genocide of Ukrainians, which has resulted in the death of civilians, including children. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has confirmed 8,401 civilian deaths and 1,423 injuries in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion. Also, as of 1 April, 467 children have been killed and 944 have been injured to varying degrees of severity.
Most of all, the cities near the combat zone have been subjected to shelling. For example, on 1 April, Russian troops hit a cemetery in the city of Zaporizhzhya with an Iskander missile system. Debris and blast damage to the roofs, windows, doors and outbuildings of private houses located near the impact site. Five people - three men and two women - were also injured. Additionally, two C-300 missiles struck the territory of an enterprise in Zaporizhzhya. The day before, Russia struck with four Smerch multiple rocket launchers. The hits were recorded on private sector land, a kindergarten and a farming enterprise. Two casualties were reported.
In addition to shelling cities controlled by the Ukrainian army in Zaporizhzhya region, the Russian occupants continue the forced issue of Russian passports to the population of the temporarily occupied territory of the region. In particular, in the town of Tokmak, at checkpoints, the Russians restrict the movement of Ukrainian citizens who have not received Russian passports and threaten them with dismissal from their jobs and the impossibility of further employment. It should be recalled that the forced passportization started since the illegal annexation of the Crimean peninsula in 2014. It is now continuing in other occupied territories.
The genocide of Ukrainians can only be stopped by a strong Ukrainian army. The support of the entire collective west with modern weapons will help Ukraine dislodge the Russian army from its legitimate territory and restore peace to its people.
